Monday January 23 - Friday January27
Stuart Wood S.T.A.R.s are invited to clean out those shelves and bring in some gently used books that may be LOVED again by children and families throughout the Kamloops area, who may not be able to afford books normally. We have big boxes in our front halls. Place your used books in the boxes and on FRIDAY the "Cat in the Hat" will come and take them away. There will be a FREE Family celebration at the Henry Grube Education Centre on Saturday January 28th from 9:00am - 12:30pm. Stories, activities, snacks and lots of books! Everyone is welcome so come and enjoy!!

The Stuart Wood S.T.A.R. Spelling Bee will take place Monday January 16, 2012 @ 8:45am in our school gym!
Congratulations to all of our students who have worked so hard on preparing for our school spelling bee. This year there are 17 finalists who will be up on stage, giving their best answers to some tricky spelling samples! This hard work and study is in preparation for the Kamloops POSTMEDIA Canspell National 2012 Spelling Bee that will be taking place on March 3, 2012. Good luck everyone!

	Will be held at the United Church on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Our school PAC will be collecting non perishable food items for Christmas Amalgamated. We look forward to seeing you there! All Stuart Wood staff wish you and your family a Happy Holiday!
